Survey Merchandiser is seeking independent contractors to work as Overnight Retailer Merchandisers for a 5-day project in Carpinteria, CA paying $21/hr. This is a retail-focused role requiring prior retail merchandising experience. You will support a large retail reset by replacing paper price tags with electronic shelf labels and documenting progress using our app.

Schedule & Hours 

• Pay: $21/hour 
• Start Date: June 14, 2026 
• Start Time: 10:00 PM 
• Shift Length: 8.5 hours (includes unpaid lunch break) 
• Arrival: 15 minutes early required 

Responsibilities 

• Unbox and verify electronic shelf label kits 
• Remove paper price tags from shelves 
• Install new shelf strips, labels, and tags in assigned departments 
• Remove and dispose of trash properly 
• Palletize excess materials for pickup 
• ​​​​​​​Document completed work using the Survey Merchandiser App in a retail environment 

Requirements (Must Have) 

• Experience: Proven retail merchandising experience 
• Physical Ability: Lift up to 50 lbs; stand, walk, bend, kneel, and crouch for extended periods 
• Technology: Smartphone (iPhone or Android) with the Survey Merchandiser App 
• Other: 18+, valid driver’s license, reliable transportation 
• ​​​​​​​Dress Code : Business casual: closed-toe shoes, long pants, plain shirt or polo. Not allowed: shorts, tank tops, graphic shirts, sandals, dirty clothing, or personal phone use on the sales floor
